Thursday 8 and Friday 9 October 2015 there will be an work-talk-exchange meeting under the name Panorama Day/s in Amsterdam, UvA.
Thank you all for your interest in being part of the first Panorama Day of the Health Care and the Body group (University of Amsterdam, AISSR). We are delighted with the positive response our initiative has had. We would like with this email to remind you about the gathering, and ask you for important things that will help us put together a lively gathering.
It is required to register for the event here (firstname.lastname@example.org), as we need to “count heads”. Each day will feature a simple catered lunch. There will also be a catered dinner at Eileen’s house Thursday evening, which is 10 minutes walk from the institution.
The event will take place in the mornings of 8 & 9 October from 9.00 till 13.00 in the Common Room (REC B5.12) followed by a catered lunch. On Thursday 8 October there is a departmental seminar by Ghassan Hage from 15.30-17.00 (REC C3.01) which many of us wish to attend, which is why we decided to divide up the presentations over two mornings.
This workshop has two goals. One is to get to know each other’s work. The second is to share some insights and give feedback. The idea is neither to make this a display (‘the best I can do’) nor to turn it into collective supervision (‘please, help me with my problem’), but to engage in a conversation. All HC&B members who possibly can are expected to join.
organized by: Annemarie Mol, Eileen Moyer, Eva Vernooij & Rebeca Ibáñez Martín.
