Water Walk: Waterleidingduinen

We would like to invite you to join us on a walk through the Amsterdamse Waterleidingduinen on Saturday November 4th. It is a nature reserve used to water that is then transported to Amsterdam to come out from our taps. The walk will take us past the different stages of purification. It will be between 10 and 15 km so we’re planning on being outside for the whole day.

We will meet at Amsterdam central station at track 2a. The train to Heemstede-Aerdenhout (direction Vlissingen) will leave at 10:04. You can also get on this train at Amsterdam Sloterdijk station or Haarlem station. Please be on time and bring a lunch with you. The entrance fee for the park is €1,50.

If you are interested in joining our walk, please send an email to els.roding@student.uva.nl We can then keep track of numbers and when necessary let you know further details. Also – if it happens to pour with rain or if there is a thunderstorm, we may have to cancel and then it is good to have the email addresses of those whom it concerns.
